The Occupational Health and Safety Policy communicates The AIIM’s Group commitment to the prevention of occupational illness and injury.  The AIIM Group’s commitment to excellence for our customers, employees and our community; is demonstrated by our focus to continually improve: Wellness, Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality for all stakeholders.

In meeting this obligation The AIIM Group will:

• maintain a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with acceptable industry practices

• comply with all legal requirements and legislation

• eliminate or control foreseeable hazards, which may result in personal injuries/illnesses, damage to property

• and implement documented programs to control, monitor and continually improve wellness health, and safety, in the workplace.  Controlling accidental loss through loss prevention

These programs are the direct responsibility of all AIIM’s managers, supervisors and employees.

Supervisors / managers ensure safe and health work conditions are maintained in the workplace.

Employees perform their duties safely in accordance with AIIM’s safe work procedures / practices and within all legislative requirements.

Contractors / Sub Contractors and their employees meet or exceed AIIM’s Health and Safety Program requirements.

To ensure the continuing suitability of this policy, The AIIM Group’s management and the Joint Health and Safety Committee commits to reviewing the Health and Safety Policy on an annual basis.
